Scott Smith
Scott is founder and managing partner of Changeist, an international futures consulting group. With nearly thirty years of professional experience as an analyst, writer, consultant, advisor and futurist, Scott leads the company’s strategy, research and partnerships. In this role he has worked with some of the world’s largest brands, most progressive cultural institutions, governments, and top NGOs. Scott previously led research and consulting teams for several boutique firms in Washington, DC, New York and London.
He has worked in over 20 countries, in multiple languages, and developed several futures and innovation programs at educational institutions in the US, Spain and the UAE. He has written for The Atlantic, Quartz, WIRED UK, had work exhibited in several museums, and spoken at dozens of conferences globally, including SXSW, Lift, Sónar+D and Sibos. Scott was the author of How to Future: Leading and Sense-making in an Age of Hyperchange, for Kogan Page.
Susan Cox-Smith
Susan is partner and director, experience at Changeist, leveraging over twenty-five years of experience as a writer, designer, creative director, interactive producer, and researcher. Susan seeks to enrich public engagement with possible futures. She oversees the design of, and co-leads Changeist’s capacity building workshops, and the development of learning experiences, developing futuring skills in leaders from organizations including Microsoft, Netflix, JPMorganChase and NASA JPL. She also provides research, story consulting, narrative development, storyboarding and scriptwriting for exhibitions and future immersive concepts for international clients.
She has written for The Next Web and How We Get to Next, and appeared on several podcasts to discuss futures and trends. Susan has presented, run workshops and led panel discussions at conferences, including Anticipation 2022 and the Dubai Future Forum most recently. She was the contributing editor on How to Future: Leading and Sense-making in an Age of Hyperchange.
